Great task management app

I used Omnifocus before. Due to Windows working environment, I swiched to Todoist. Work perfectly so far.

The only task app you’ll ever need

Free or paid this is the best app for task management. The team that builds and supports this is incredible. Customer support is amazing. Don’t hesitate to upgrade to the pro plan. Absolutely worth it.

Subscription?

A subscrtiption for premium features is just stupid. It is even stupider when there are a hundred other apps out there that do the same thing as this one for less than $10.

Crashes on opening.

Please fix this error. (ReferenceError: Cant find variable: initTodoist) Thanks for making quality assurance check before releasing an other version.

BROKEN

Like the app, use it a lot, although I think the “upgrade and get more done” banner is exremely annoying. The current update however has broken the app for me. When it opens it states it cannot connect to todoist and gives me a grey screen. Please fix!

Login screen broken

Welcome and login screen completely broken on OS X El Capitan. Can’t start this thing up even.

Finally ...

I have been looking for a task management application that runs on a mac other than the sad little list in Outlook 2016 and Apple’s Reminders. I’ve tried OmniFocus (though a very old version), various GTD plug-in’s, and freeware. Finally, for a reasonable price I have found what I am looking for: flexible to the way I work, true multi-platform (the Windows Outlook plug-in is awesome), and very smart. Somehow this application helps you along rather than judging you for all the tasks you haven’t finished yet. Truly exceptional app.

Great App w/ One Key Missing Feature

Update: Do NOT update! They’ve even taken away the priority sort shortcut (‘p’). You have to go into settings every time! Overall it’s great but I can’t understand why there is no option to automatically sort events by priority. It is VERY annoying having to do so manually every time I enter a new event. I can’t believe the feature doesn’t already exist! Why won’t you fix this simple issue!?!?!

Made me way more organized

I’ve tried a bunch of to do lists thingies before and none seemed to click. Something about Todoist did click for me. It was basically the first step in me getting better organized in my work and it gave me peace of mind once I got all my tasks (including re-occurring ones) on there. I feel like I never worry about forgetting tasks anymore. I weirdly love the karma system too which gives you points for not letting tasks go overdue and for completeing goals etc. I have no idea why this simple karma points system keeps me motivated but it does. Anyway, Todoist worked really well for me. Exactly what I was looking for.

Requires Sign-Up

App Store lists this as “Get”… the app info page says it’s “Free”… but then a sign-in page comes up. The information page on the app store does not say the app requires an account.

Quick Add Shortcut Crashes App

Trying to use the new Quick Add Shortcut prompts a ‘Login Required’ dialogue on the searchbar even when I’m logged in to the app in the background, and clicking on the searchbar crashes the app.

Must be nice, but Turkish language support…

Easy to use application and designed very nice, but do not support the Turkish language so I deleted.

Great task management...

…but the OS X version still needs some work to feel more „native”. Anyway guys, great job, and keep working on it!

Very good app

Very good task manager, works very smoothly and is most intuitive todo app on app store!

Good app with one VERY BIG misassumption

In general, the application is great. But - I have some routines that require from me to use cyclic dates, anchored at the completion date. And here the madness begins - I don’t know why the authors think that it is natural to make users learn. The rules are logical, but they make users: - learn them, as there is no other way to perform the task, - remember them, because otherwise users always need to go to the tutorial, usually while ON THE GO, - enter enormously long schemes (again, on the go!), instead of just letting them simply choose the dates. An example from your tutorial: - every 3 months starting 10 April - seems legit, but instead, I would just prefer to choose due date and then: "repeat every: 3 months” - every! 3 months starting 10 April - this one is MUCH harder to recall - because it is NOT natural to consider this ! as completion date indicator at all! And in Polish, this sheme lacks logic even more. Authors should read Krug’s „Don’t make me think” and NNG usability heuristics. For misunderstood "Match between system and the real world” you abuse the following ones: - User control and freedom (I simply cannot achieve what I want to without diving deep into the manual) - Consistency and standards (does this one need any explanation?) - Error prevention (this scheme causes a lot of errors) - Recognition rather than recall (you make users recall the commands or see the manual every time they want to add a recurring task) - Flexibility and efficiency of use (does it need any explanation?) - Help users recognize, diagnose, and recover from errors (the app makes users the weak part of the system, and they need to go through the manual over and over again to recover from errors).

Don’t work in this version. Please fix bug

You’ve GOT to be kidding me
