Doesn’t work after reboot

All I did was reboot my computer and now the app will load but won’t display the window, the icon has margins on the left and right, and of course quick add doesn’t work. Not the only one to have this issue, as it’s on twitter and the blog post as well. Can’t rate it very high right now.

Completely BROKEN!

Do NOT update until they fix this. App is open but the window does not appear.

Main window won’t load w/ new update

Same issue as everyone else is reporting. After this update the main window won’t load for the app. Have to uninstall and reinstall to get it working. Todoist itself is amazing and would highly reccomend, just hold off on this update till they fix this problem

quick add shortcut not working at all now ?

Installed this update . When I hit cmd-shift-A nothing happens . Before the update it was coming up and then crashing when any date based word was typed . Also noticed there’s no notes for this release . Did you forget to include the fix ?

This version (v6.3 build 10488) is unusable [UPDATED (good news)]

[UPDATE 2016-02-29] The task list window appears for me now and the toolbar icon is the correct size and the dropdown on toolbar icon click is working again. Thank you Todoist for getting a patch posted so quickly. Changed rating from 1 to 5 stars. Note: BiblAppr says that nothing happens when hitting cmd-shift-A. I also experienced this issue. To fix, just go into Todoist preferences, click "Shortcuts", then click the "Quick Add Task" field. Hold the desired shortcut keys and release. I set my quick add shortcut to [cmd shift +] (+ for adding a new task made sense to me. Cmd-shift-A interferes with a shortcut I use in another program.) The new quick add feature is great. Just note that to take full advantage of it you need to learn the new intelligent input features (such as #<tasklist> etc.). --- --- Note: My original comment was for version 6.3.0. Not sure why the Apple Store placed my original comment on version 6.3.1 because at the time I made the post, no update to 6.3.1 was available. --------------------------- [ ====== NOTE - keeping this section for history but the comments below are not applicable to the LATEST version 6.3.1 ====== ] As a few others have reported, the window for this app is not showing even though the app is running. Please note I am a big fan of Todoist and have been using this app for over a year now. This is the first major issue Ive seen with Todoist during that time. This is a good app overall - just wait for a version that isnt broken and use their website version of the app in the interim (hoping it is a very short interim). I do find it a bit ironic that the updates claim to fame is "Add tasks from anywhere on your Mac" since the main task list window isnt even accessible. Also of note, I couldnt get the new todoist toolbar icon to work either. The toolbar icon also shows seemingly incorrectly with lots of empty space on each side of it.

My favorite app

I rarely pay for software, even more rarely write reviews. Todoist deserves both! Love this app soo much.

Stellar

Although this app doesn’t allow for noting ‘cancelled’ tasks. It’s getting 5 starts from me. It works very intuitively. I’ve been using Things for a while and was cumbersome but Todoist has got me as a prem sub because it’s so darn good, fast, and secure.

Simple, clean and easy to use

I migrated to Todoist from Wunderlist and so glad I made the change! Todoist is simple, clean and user friendly. It has a drag and drop interface so you can easily rearrange tasks, including adding subtasks. Keyboard shortcuts make it easy to create a task (simply hit the “q” button), sort a list and so much more. Each task can be assigned a priority level from 1-4. My favorite feature is typing in the due date when adding a task and Todoist adds it automatically. So if you want a due date of tomorrow just type “Buy milk tom” and it automatically assigns the due date to tomorrow without me having to figure out what date tomorrow is. You can also do next week, every 7 (for every 7th of the month) and so on. You can easily choose between recurring or one-time by simply typing “every” or omitting it. It also integrates with email which I haven’t had a chance to explore yet, but am excited to try it. The one thing I do miss from Wunderlist is the chime sound I hear when I complete a task. Sometimes it’s nice to get rewarded for doing something, even little things. It puts a little sparkle in my day. Overall I am quite impressed with this handly little app that has made my life so much more organized. If you love simple, clean and easy to use interfaces then check out Todoist.

Sorry, not worth the time required

My biggest problem with this app is that it won’t even launch without an internet connection, unlike many people I don’t live on the internet (especially if I want to Get Something Done). The app crashes when it can’t connect to the internet and won’t launch at all. When I do have internet it takes a few seconds of syncing and checking various sites (google, crashlytics, etc) before it will load and show a designed graphic telling me it’s morning or evening. All in all I found it a lot of useless stuff going on. I tried, but this app is not saving any time. Beyond these things that they would hopefully fix in some update, The choice of having no separate feild to store a note / content makes it useless for me. I guess that could seem more streamlined for entering many tasks, but often times takes are more complicated and require some informaiton stored that doesn’t need to be always visible in a list.
