I migrated to Todoist from Wunderlist and so glad I made the change!
Todoist is simple, clean and user friendly. It has a drag and drop interface so you can easily rearrange tasks, including adding subtasks. Keyboard shortcuts make it easy to create a task (simply hit the “q” button), sort a list and so much more. Each task can be assigned a priority level from 1-4.
My favorite feature is typing in the due date when adding a task and Todoist adds it automatically. So if you want a due date of tomorrow just type “Buy milk tom” and it automatically assigns the due date to tomorrow without me having to figure out what date tomorrow is. You can also do next week, every 7 (for every 7th of the month) and so on. You can easily choose between recurring or one-time by simply typing “every” or omitting it.
It also integrates with email which I haven’t had a chance to explore yet, but am excited to try it.
The one thing I do miss from Wunderlist is the chime sound I hear when I complete a task. Sometimes it’s nice to get rewarded for doing something, even little things. It puts a little sparkle in my day.
Overall I am quite impressed with this handly little app that has made my life so much more organized. If you love simple, clean and easy to use interfaces then check out Todoist.
